These terms apply to the Yanling app published by Grigorii. By using the app you accept them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

The game

The Academy and chapter 1 are free to play, offline. A subscription opens the rest of the world, the full library, and online AI: speaking to characters, free phrasing and tone checks.

Subscriptions

• Monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the store before you buy. The yearly plan may start with a free trial if your store account has not had one.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; cancel or change it in your store account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Fair use of online AI

Online AI comes with daily and monthly allowances (spoken lines, tone checks, AI answers, new voices), shown in the app. Past them the game carries on offline until the allowance resets. We may pause online AI for everyone briefly when the service is overloaded.

AI answers

Characters' answers and tone checks are produced automatically and can be wrong. They are practice, not grading or professional teaching.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attacks on our servers, no automated access to the API, no attempts to get around the allowances or the subscription, no reverse engineering beyond what the law allows.

Content and licences

The game and its content belong to Grigorii. Open-source parts and data keep their licences (listed in the app under Settings → About), including CC-CEDICT (CC BY-SA 4.0).

No warranty, limits

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost data; keep your own exports of saves you care about (Menu → export).
